Leather handles lend comfortable support when moving full crates. Our vegetable tanned leather is sourced from 150-year-old American tannery Wickett and Craig. Vegetable tanning is traditional eco-friendly process that produces character-rich durable leathers. Handles are secured with solid brass fasteners that add an elegant and functional detail.
Dovetail joinery has been employed in fine furniture for centuries and is known for its incredible strength and functional beauty. Each crate is handcrafted from 5/8″ thick locally sourced solid Black Walnut or White Oak. The exposed dovetails are a focal point of the design and a hallmark of traditional craftsmanship.
Dovetail Record Crates are finished in a durable low-sheen catalyzed lacquer that protects and enhances the natural beauty of the wood. Rustic oak crates express the unique character marks and prominent grain of White Oak.
